Norwegian Joy

Refurbishing and transitioning a vessel’s signage from Chinese to English in six weeks.

Norwegian Cruise Line approached us with an interesting project in Spring of 2019: the opportunity to refurbish their vessel, Norwegian Joy, in preparation to reposition her from Asia to North America.

Norwegian Joy needed to match sister vessels Norwegian Bliss and Encore, which meant that all signage—including public venue identification, wayfinding, passenger cabin numbers, operational placards and IMO safety signage—needed to be replaced, as well as translated from Chinese to English. What’s more, the project needed to be completed within the ship’s six-week drydock period. We were happy to take on the challenge, working quickly to retrofit Norwegian Joy just in time for the Spring season.
